As part of the NIKO FITI CSR Campaign, Kenya Re partnered with the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) to adopt, brand, and equip the newly constructed Block F—now transformed into a state-of-the-art assessment centre. The initiative aimed to create an inclusive and inspiring environment for training and rehabilitating persons with disabilities from Kenya and beyond, establishing what has become known as the Niko Fiti Legacy Project.

Challenge

The core challenge was to create a branded space that looked and felt inclusive—balancing aesthetics, brand expression, and functional accessibility in every design decision.

Brand Guru Limited was tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and executing a full-scale transformation of Block F into a visually branded, accessible facility. The scope included:

  • Translating Kenya Re’s corporate identity into an environment aligned with KISE’s educational and rehabilitative purpose.
  • Developing a design strategy that prioritized accessibility—integrating high-contrast visuals, clear wayfinding, tactile elements, and legible typography to accommodate diverse user needs.
  • Maintaining visual harmony and brand consistency across interior and exterior spaces totaling approximately 20,000 square feet.
  • Delivering a complete transformation within a limited project timeline, ahead of the official launch by the Head of State.
Goal

We sought to ensure that the physical environment not only told Kenya Re’s story but also supported KISE’s mission to train and rehabilitate learners of all abilities.

The goal was to create a meaningful brand experience that reflected Kenya Re’s CSR vision while enhancing accessibility and usability for persons with disabilities. Brand Guru Limited aimed to design an environment that would be both functional and emotionally engaging—a space where every element, from color and contrast to spatial flow and signage, embodied inclusivity, empowerment, and community transformation.

Result

The final outcome was an immersive brand experience that transformed Block F into a vibrant, inclusive environment that communicates Kenya Re’s dedication to empowerment and inclusion.

Brand Guru Limited implemented human-centered design strategies, using color psychology, spatial flow, and accessible branding elements to ensure every user could comfortably navigate and engage with the space.

The branding extended beyond visuals—it created an emotional connection, where users could experience the Kenya Re brand through the values it represents. The result is a cohesive, inspiring, and functional environment that enhances pride, belonging, and accessibility for all.

The project stands as a national model of how branded spaces can merge corporate purpose with human-centered design.
